The devices support modern Mifare technologies and work with tamper-proof Mifare Plus (in SL3, AES mode) and Mifare Desfire EV1/EV2/EV3 (AES) cards, Mifare Classic cards, 125 kHz cards, and U‑PROX ID mobile identifiers.

- updated vandal-proof housing made of 1.2 mm stainless steel, IP 65 protection, temperature range from −40 °C to +60 °C
- support for various ID formats: 125 kHz (ASK/FSK), Mifare Classic, Mifare Plus (SL1), Mifare Plus (SL3), Mifare DESfire EV1/EV2/EV3, U‑PROX ID mobile identifiers (NFC/2.4 GHz) and active identifiers U-PROX TAG and U-PROX Auto TAG
- 3 mobile identification modes: Door-Proximity – activation by proximity sensor (10–20 cm), Door (up to 70 cm) and Barrier/Gate (up to 12 m)
- firmware configuration and updates via the U‑PROX Config mobile app (Android NFC/BLE)
What is the difference between U-PROX SE Steel and U-PROX SL Steel?
- U-PROX SE Steel supports the secure OSDP2.2 protocol
- U-PROX SE Steel has “last mile” protection – an encrypted connection (AES-128) between the reader and the controller
- U-PROX SE Steel can be connected up to 1000 m away from the controller via the RS-485 (OSDP) interface
So, when should you choose U-PROX SE Steel?
SE Steel is ideal where maximum security and modern solutions are important:
