Setting up Bas‑IP in U‑PROX: step by step

The U-PROX system supports integration with BasIP panels (models AV-07, AA-12, as well as other models from the AV, AA, and BA series) in current software versions.

However, due to the fact that BasIP panel firmware is frequently updated without backward compatibility and can vary significantly between models, we cannot guarantee that declared compatibility with our software will remain valid for all equipment versions.

The U-PROX system supports operation with BasIP panels (models AV-07, AA-12, and others from the AV, AA, and BA series) in the latest software versions.

However, due to frequent firmware updates on BasIP panels — which are often incompatible with previous versionsand vary by model — stable compatibility with U-PROX software cannot be guaranteed in every individual case.

The AV series can be used, but it is not recommended, as it is considered outdated.
We recommend the BA series as a more stable and modern alternative.

The latest U-PROX software versions are available on the official website: u-prox.systems, under “Downloads” → “Software and Manuals.”

BasIP panel configuration is done through the web interface of the software, under “Installer” → “Call Panels.”

Integration allows the system to:

  • Upload cards from the U-PROX database to the panel
  • Receive events from the panel (e.g., access attempts), which are:
    • Displayed in the system
    • Recorded in the event log
    • Used for report generation

Support for BasIP call panels is implemented in U-PROX IP software, starting from version 3.040.6119.

After updating U-PROX IP from version 3.040.6078 to 3.052.6833, the U-PROX IP Equipment Service(AcsService.exe) begins monitoring UDP packets sent by BasIP call panels:

  • To the server IP address, on ports 9060 and 8300,
  • Or to the multicast group 238.9.9.1, on port 8400.

Sample panel configuration:

If you want to specify a custom port in the address, set the port value in the registry on the U-PROX WEB server.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\A2SoftIn\UProxIP\2.00]

By default, the system uses port 80, but you can change it to another value such as 40001.

Configure the BasIP panel according to the scheme shown below.
The password is not used by our software and can be set arbitrarily.
