U-PROX TAG SUPPLIED IN “ONLY BUTTON” MODE.
Features
U-PROX Tag works only with U-PROX SL and U-PROX SE readers and serves to transmit the ID.
Functional parts of the device
- 1. Button
- 2. Case cover
- 3. Fastening strap
Operating modes
U-PROX Tag operates in two modes – button only and active ID and button.
Button only
In this mode U-PROX Tag transmits the ID to the reader only on pressing the button.
Active ID and button
In this mode, U-PROX Tag periodically, each 0.9 seconds, broadcasts short information about himself and readiness to interact with the reader.
After receiving such information, the reader calculates the distance to U-PROX Tag , and if it corresponds to the one configured in it, and if the reader has not yet interacted with this U-PROX Tag, data is exchanged between the reader and the tag. The reader transmits the ID code received from the U-Prox Tag to the control panel.
To interact with the reader again, the U-PROX Tag must leave the reader’s range, or stop reporting for more than 6 seconds.
Switching operating modes
- 1. Press and hold the button on the device until the red indication appears
- 2. 2. Briefly press the button on the device three times
- 3. The indicator will glow yellow if the device is in “Active ID and Button” mode

If the code satisfies the access rules, the control panel will allow passage (unlocks the lock, etc.).
Reader interaction in the “Barrier” mode on pressing the button
Approach the reader at a distance of 3 – 12 m (depending on the reader’s settings) and press the button on the U-PROX Tag. Data will be exchanged between the reader and the tag, the reader will transmit the ID code from the U-PROX Tag to the control panel.

Get closer to the reader at a distance of 3 – 12 m (depending from reader setup) while carrying the U-PROX Tag. Data will be exchanged between the reader and the tag, the reader will transmit the ID code from the U-PROX Tag to the control panel .
If the code satisfies the access rules, the control panel will allow passage (will open the barrier, etc.).
Registration in the control system access

The control panes is the “brain” of the system, which determines whether or not the owner of the identifier is allowed to enter the door.
It has a built-in memory that stores identifier codes with a list of access rights for each of them.
When a person presents (brings to the reader) an identifier, the code read from it is compared with the one stored in the database, on the basis of which a decision is made to open the door.
-
A reader is a device that reads the code (key) of the identifier and transmits it to the controller.
-
PACS — Physical Access Control System —an access control and management system is a set of hardware and software control and management tools.
The main goal is to restrict and register the entry-exit of objects in a given area through “points of passage”: doors, gates, etc.
The main task is to control access to a given territory (who to let in, at what time and to what territory), including also:
- restricting access to a given territory;
- identification of a person who has access to a given territory.
-
An identifier is the basic element of an access control system that stores a code.
Each client is assigned a specific key (code), which serves to determine the owner’s rights – identification.
A card, a key fob, a tag can perform the function of an identifier.
