Modern access control systems “understand” different types of identifiers: classic 125 kHz proximity cards or key fobs, MIFARE Classic cards or bracelets, MIFARE Plus and MIFARE DesFire EV1/EV2/EV3 secure cards, active car tags, and bank cards.
However, such “traditional” identifiers have significant drawbacks: they can be forgotten at home or lost, and 125 kHz proximity cards and MIFARE Classic can be copied.
But the real step into the future is the U-PROX ID mobile identifier.
Your smartphone becomes an electronic key that works at a distance of 20 cm to 15 m via BLE 2.4 GHz or NFC at a distance of up to 5 cm.
Each mobile identifier is linked to a specific device/account, and access to the application can be additionally protected by biometrics or a smartphone password.
From now on, you always have your “card” at hand, and you don’t have to worry about losing it.
