You may use the latest available version 3.48.1 build 6427 of the Golden Gate software (Golden Gate 2002 v.3.48.1 build 6427), which supports modern SQL Servers and is compatible with current Windows operating systems.
The legacy Golden Gate software can be downloaded using the links provided below.
You will also find drivers for the HASP key — see the links at the bottom of this text.
Additionally, there are utilities for viewing the contents of a HASP key, with two options available (one older, one newer):
Ops.HaspViewer.zip – https://drive.google.com/file/d/1N5WfMQRgjXNDk4DldxyibuGUOFwbQWGn/view?usp=sharing
HaspView.zip – https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ML56Docw66rcHXEt2_G-3s7sKSzvwzId/view?usp=sharing
The Golden Gate software (Golden Gate 2002) was released in versions 2.xxx and 3.xxx, and was protected using a HASP key.
For newer 3.xxx versions, only a USB HASP key is required.
Golden Gate software does not support COM-port dongles — only the following types of HASP keys were used:
“Golden Gate 2002.v3.014.4908.Commercial.iso”
https://u-prox.systems/downloads/acs/ISO/Golden%20Gate%202002.v3.014.4908.Commercial.iso
“Golden Gate 2002.v3.048.6427.Commercial.iso“
https://u-prox.systems/downloads/acs/ISO/Golden%20Gate%202002.v3.048.6427.Commercial.iso
The Golden Gate software was released in two main versions:
In version 3.xxx of the Golden Gate software, only the newer NDC-B052 controller revisions with a USB port are supported (firmware 3.xxx or higher).
Older NDC-B052 controllers with firmware prior to 2.73 (displayed as 2.073) are not compatible with Golden Gate 3.xxx.
Below are images showing the physical layout of the controller boards:
B052 – old version:
B052 – new version (with USB port):
Instructions for updating the firmware of the NDC-B052a controller can be found in the “ReadMe.txt” file located in the “Archive with the latest controller firmware versions“
If your database contains NDC-B052 controllers (versions 3.xx and above) — those with a USB port — you can migrate to the new “U-Prox” system and eliminate the need for a HASP key.
Attention!
On legacy PCs and operating systems — particularly Windows XP — and when using older versions of Golden Gate software (2.xxx), it is highly likely that MSDE (SQL Server 2000 Express) is in use.
Databases from MSDE can be upgraded only up to SQL Server 2008 R2.
The installer for Golden Gate v3.48.1 on Windows 10 installs SQL Server 2014 by default, but also includes SQL Server 2008 R2 installers (both in 32-bit versions).
The older v3.14.1 installer contains only SQL Server 2008 R2, available in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions.
Golden Gate software version 3.48.1 is fully compatible with Windows 10 and newer operating systems. We recommend performing updates in the following order:
Use the installation image provided for setup
Golden Gate 2002 v3.048.6427 Commercial.iso
(link: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1rKE1RcZaF_x0DsTf_ZkHwGy0M8InsZcP).
During installation, replace the default names with the following:
If you previously used older SQL Servers (e.g., MSDE – SQL Server 2000 Express), the database upgrade may not proceed successfully.
In such cases, please send the application logs and SQL Server logs to technical support.
Databases from MSDE (SQL 2000 Express) can only be upgraded to SQL Server 2008 R2.
This version is installed by default from our distribution package on Windows 7/8/Server 2008/Server 2012.
On Windows 10 and newer, the installer will set up SQL Server 2014.
You can upgrade databases from SQL 2008 R2 to SQL 2014, but not directly from MSDE.
You may need to run a special utility mentioned below.
Before upgrading the software (or after restoring a database from older versions), you must run the utilityfix_arithabort-error
.
Once completed, proceed with updating the software or execute the “Update database to current version” function using the standard AcsMaintenance.exe
utility.
Please perform the following steps on the server using an Administrator account:
1. Download the archive fix-arithabort-error_GG2002.rar here:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1WKqSMt1WYje1AsB9rfwMEdhzs_XHCtHU/view?usp=share_link
2. Unzip the fix-arithabort-error.bat file from the downloaded archive to a separate directory on your hard disk.
3. Run the file fix-arithabort-error.bat from this directory.
After it works, the file fix-arithabort-error.log will be created – see point 4 – send it to us if the same error occurs during software installation or database update.
4. Update the database to the current version using the standard utility “AcsMaintenance.exe” from the software catalog, and run the service “Golden Gate 2002 Equipment Maintenance”.
Also, before starting the updates, run the following utility:
1. Unzip all files from the disable_auto_close.rar archive with the password 123456 to a separate directory on your hard disk.
link to download disable_auto_close.rar with password 123456 :
https://drive.google.com/file/d/10lJhVK3vOn_XVM532yCtcDkM7bvyHIyz/view?usp=share_link
2. From this directory, run the file disable_auto_close.bat. A black command line window will appear on the screen and close automatically. When the disable_auto_close.bat file is finished (within a minute). The file disable_auto_close.out will be created in the current directory – send it to us if the problem is NOT solved.
utility for standard SQL server names that are commonly used with our products:
– MSSQLSERVER (is the default name of SQL servers)
– SQLEXPRESS
– GG2002
if the SQL server name is different, edit it in the file “disable_auto_close.bat”.
If the OS on the HASP driver from the installation disk indicates incompatibility, then this driver is outdated for this Win10 (or higher).

Databases are files with names:
GGLite.mdf – the main database
GGLite_log.ldf – SQL Server transaction log for the main database
GGLite_01.mdf – event log #01
GGLite_01_log.ldf – SQL Server transaction log for event log #01
…
GGLite_ХХ.mdf – event log #XX
GGLite_ХХ_log.ldf – transaction log for event log #XX
that are in the catalog “C:\Program Files\ITV\Golden Gate 2002\”
or “C:\Program Files (x86)\ITV\Golden Gate 2002\”
or “C:\ITV\Golden Gate 2002\”
— the database backup looks like this:
GGLiteDB_yy_mm_dd_hh_mm_ss
GGLiteDB_yy_mm_dd_hh_mm_ss_add_01
…
GGLiteDB_yy_mm_dd_hh_mm_ss_add_ХХ
where GGLiteDB_yy_mm_dd_hh_mm_ss — main database backup
а GGLiteDB_yy_mm_dd_hh_mm_ss_add_ХХ — event log #01 backup
At minimum, 2 backup files are required (main database + at least one event log), depending on how many additional logs exist.
yy_mm_dd_hh_mm_ss – represents the timestamp of when the backup process started (year, month, day, hour, minute, second).
— To restore a backup, you only need to specify the main database file: GGLiteDB_yy_mm_dd_hh_mm_ss
However, all related backup files (including event log files) must be present in the same directory.
You can also use automatic backup files for recovery.
