Setting an engineer password on U-PROX readers

To set the engineer password, you need to connect (twist) two reader contacts—Data0 (WD0) green and Data1 (WD1) white—while the power is off, and then turn on the reader.

Then bring your smartphone with the U-Prox Config app running to the reader, perform a search, select the required reader, and press the “connect” button again:

Next, go to the reader settings by selecting “Settings” and then “Engineer Code” and set a password:

After that, go to the main menu and save the changes to the reader:

Programming is performed from the mobile application U-Prox Config, via the Bluetooth channel.

When connecting to the reader – on the smartphone you must have Bluetooth and GPS (geolocation) enabled, and grant the necessary permissions to the application.
