Fire unlocking – wires

Thanks to the presence of zones programmable as FREE PASSAGE and LOCKDOWN, the controller fully integrates into the fire-security alarm system.

To work together with the fire alarm, you must program any one zone as “Free Passage.” A fire-alarm loop or the output of the fire-alarm control panel is then connected to this zone. When a fire alarm activates and that zone trips, all doors controlled by the controller automatically unlock, allowing personnel to exit the fire-affected area freely.

When programming, the following assignments are made:

  • Z7 – “Lock A+B”
  • Z8 – “Free Passage A+B”

Both Lock and Free Passage can be assigned to passage points A, B, or A+B.

Zones of type Lock and Free Passage respond to both short-circuit and open-circuit events.

To integrate with an intrusion alarm system, program any one zone as “Lock”. A tamper loop or the alarm output from the intrusion panel is connected to this zone. When an alarm sensor is triggered or the intrusion alarm is activated, that controller zone trips, and all doors controlled by the controller automatically lock.
