Carefully choose the installation location of the U-Prox PIR Cam device, taking into account the orientation of the lens, the camera, and the presence of obstacles that may limit the detector’s field of view.
The detector must be installed so that the area of most likely intruder penetration lies within the detector’s maximum field of view and the intruder’s direction of movement is perpendicular to the installation axis.
To obtain the maximum detection range of the detector, install it at a height of 2.1 meters from the floor level.
The device must not be placed:
Outdoors or in rooms with unacceptable humidity or temperature
In locations with a high level of radio interference
Near objects that may attenuate or shield the radio signal (metal, mirrors, etc.)
Where direct sunlight will fall on the detector’s lens
Opposite objects whose temperature changes rapidly, or in areas with fast air circulation
Opposite moving objects at human-body temperature
Closer than 1 m from the security panel
It is recommended to install in the following sequence:
Register the sensor in the security system using the U-Prox Installer app
Choose the installation location with optimal signal using the U-Prox Installer app. Note that the detector may be mounted either vertically or horizontally
Install the bracket
Mount the device
Installation:
Attach the bracket using the screws and wall plugs included in the kit.
Place the device on the bracket and slide it down to secure and lock the tamper contact (5). Flashes on the indicator light (2) confirm that the tamper is locked.
Attention! When the device is installed correctly, the tamper will be clamped (locked).
Turning on and off
Move switch (9) to the ON position — the light indicator will be turned on. If the device has already been registered in the security system, it will switch to standby mode. To turn off the device, move switch (9) to the OFF position.
ATTENTION. IF THE DEVICE IS NOT REGISTERED, IT WILL GO INTO SLEEP MODE AFTER 30 SECONDS.
