Registration/reading of U-Prox TAG on USB reader U-Prox Desktop

• Mod.1 (GID 00:32:00:…): requires reader firmware ≥ 11.34 (BLE module v2.34).
• Mod.2 (GID 00:4E:FE:…): requires reader firmware ≥ 3.24.

If your U-Prox Desktop USB reader has an older firmware version, please update it using the firmware archive on our website. The update instructions are in the ReadMe.txt at the root of that archive, as well as in the relevant subfolders.

Reading U-Prox TAG / Auto TAG

1. Press the built-in button on the tag.
2. Present the tag to the U-Prox Desktop reader.

The registration/reading logic for U-Prox TAGs in the ACS software is the same as for other identifiers—aside from the tag’s own special operation sequence. For full details, see “U-Prox TAG – Operation Logic.pdf” in the FirmwareReaders folder of the archive (also attached to this article).

Note: The legacy 2016-release U-Prox Desktop reader does not support Bluetooth and therefore cannot read active Bluetooth tags (U-Prox TAG or Auto TAG).
