Video surveillance management via U-PROX: connecting DVR/NVR

Our system supports integration with video systems from a number of vendors (Hikvision, Dahua, Tecsar, RCI, Pinetron, Partizan) at the level of receiving a video stream, viewing an archive, and linking video from DVR/NVR to events by time stamps.
— See the page “Integration with video surveillance (DVR, NVR and VSS)” on our website.

In the U-PROX software window, you can view Live video, and in the photo verification window, you can enable video display for database objects linked to the corresponding channel when an event occurs there.

You cannot connect only a camera if it does not emulate a DVR/NVR. In this case, you can only view Live video without access to the archive (SDK limitation).

Use a newer version of the software, and perform a version upgrade:

Integrated at the level of DVR/NVR operation – receiving a video stream, viewing a video archive; linking video in DVR/NVR by time to events.

The software creates a DVR/NVR object with the appropriate settings. Documentation:

The ADMINISTRATOR login/password is specified

In the classic client, the basic settings for displaying the event window are 100 recent events with the ability to apply filters. You can configure up to 9999 events for each open window, as well as set individual filters.
The setup is performed via:
“Action” → “SettingsMiscellaneous tab

To view the entire history of events in the database, use, for example, the event report in the reports section.

In the properties of each event in the software, you can also configure whether photo verification will be applied to it.

Photo-video verification window – has filter settings for each “sub-window” separately:

If you enable video display in the photo verification window:

  • for events WITHOUT a linked video channel – the left side of the “sub-window” will be empty.
  • if the event does not pass the configured filter, the subwindow will remain empty (left subwindow)

In the Live video window, you also need to highlight the camera window and select the camera channel from the list (on the right).
