Digital transformation of security: case study of U-PROX ACS implementation for MHP

MHP is a leading international food and agrotechnology company headquartered in Kyiv with production facilities in Ukraine, Spain, and Southeast Europe.

Prior to the implementation of the solution, the company operated in a distributed system with separate ACS servers in its divisions, which created significant operational challenges.

Digital transformation of security: case study of U-PROX ACS implementation for MHP

The client identified the following main problems:

  • subjectivity of accounting: the assessment of staff attendance was not objective enough, which affected discipline.
  • human factor: manual management of access for thousands of employees led to security risks and delays in data updates.
  • synchronisation complexity: the need to manually grant or block access upon dismissal, leave or maternity leave created an excessive burden on the security service.
  • lack of a single standard: each location required an individual approach to configuration, which made scaling difficult.

What solutions were proposed?

The integrator team proposed the creation of a unified scalable system that transformed access control into part of the MHP digital ecosystem.

This solution included:

  • deep integration with ERP: creation of a unified mechanism for automatic data exchange between the central ERP server and the ACS.
  • biometric identification: implementation of biometric terminals to obtain the most accurate data on staff attendance.
  • multimodal access: support for mobile access (smartphone as a key) and card identifiers.
  • process standardisation: development of typical scenarios for setting up access points and use of a single line of U-PROX equipment in all factories.
  • partnership in development: joint testing of solutions on the vendor’s bench equipment to ensure stability.

How did U-PROX solutions help our client?

Thanks to the implementation of U-PROX’s ACS, MHP received a tool that works in sync with its business processes, namely:

  • full automation of the HR cycle: access is granted automatically upon hiring and instantly blocked in the event of dismissal, leave, maternity leave or mobilisation without the involvement of security services.
  • objective data for business: replacing subjective assessments with accurate biometric data has made it possible to strengthen discipline and optimise the use of resources.
  • seamless scalability: the system can be implemented even by key users on the business side using ready-made scenarios, allowing new locations to be connected quickly.
  • convenience of ‘invisible’ security: employees are granted access according to their current status in the ERP, and the need to contact security for standard operations is minimised.
  • effective analytics: U-PROX IP/WEB software provides the most detailed reports on working hours and system status in a single interface.

MHP’s experience confirms that automation and integration are the key to business efficiency. We will help you implement U-PROX solutions that are perfectly tailored to your tasks.

Flexible siren response configuration via “zone mask”

From now on, U-PROX Siren and U-PROX Siren Outdoor indoor and outdoor sirens have a new feature — the ability to precisely control which sensors the siren should respond to within the permitted groups.

Previously, the scenario often looked like this: the siren responds “by group” — and this is sometimes too much.

Now you can configure the logic similarly to a relay:

1. Select the group where the siren operates

2. Additionally, set the “zone mask” (which sensors the siren should respond to).

Flexible configuration of the siren’s response via the “zone mask”.

What does this give installers and partners?

  • more accurate segmentation of the object (warehouse/technical area/entrance group)
  • easier to scale the system when adding new sensors
  • clear logic: “group = area”, “zone mask = filter”.

Important: the zone mask affects the entire siren, so the system’s behavior remains stable and predictable.
