Errors when adding a device

The most common reasons a device cannot be added to your account are:

  1. The device is already added/activated under another U-Prox account.
    In this case, you’ll need to identify the user who activated it and ask them to remove the device from their account.
  2. More than 10 minutes have passed since the device was powered on.
    U-Prox equipment is discoverable for pairing only during the first 10 minutes after power-up. After that window closes, you must power-cycle the device and then attempt to add it again.
  3. The device is offline (the “U-Prox” LED on the front panel is solid red).
    Ensure the device has power and, depending on its model, is connected to the Internet.
